About Me

Hello, my name is Naomi Black! I am a 3D character animator and storyboard artist who loves creating moments that make audiences feel alive and entertained. My biggest motivation is to make people feel something when they watch or see my work. Whether it is happiness, sadness, excitement, or even discomfort, I want those emotions to feel real and leave a lasting impression.
My artistic journey began back in 5th grade, when I became the kid who was always drawing My Little Ponies in the margins of my homework and on the backs of my notebooks. That early love of drawing gradually grew into a passion for storytelling and character creation. A few years later, a visit to a Pixar Animation Studios exhibit at a local museum made everything click. I realized I did not just want to watch stories be told, I wanted to help create them.
Now, I am constantly learning, experimenting, and finding new ways to bring both my ideas and the ideas of others to life. Whether I am mapping out the beats of a scene or animating a character, my goal is to tell stories that resonate and stay with people long after the credits roll.
Outside of my projects, I am usually still immersed in storytelling, writing, creating characters, and sketching them out. I also have a strong passion for singing and musical theater, and I have performed in about 16 shows throughout middle and high school. Those experiences have shaped how I think about performance, emotion, and timing, and they continue to influence my work as an animator and storyteller.
